Ashley Vij is a global health leader with over 15 years of experience advancing HIV prevention and reproductive health, including deep expertise in introducing and scaling biomedical innovations across country systems.

As the former lead for next-generation HIV prevention technologies at USAID, Ashley developed multi-million-dollar strategies to expand healthcare product options, built strategic public-private partnerships, and aligned donor investments with country-led priorities. She has worked across global health stakeholders to accelerate access to lifesaving prevention tools from research and development through product introduction and scale-up.

At Root to Rise, Ashley brings her systems-level perspective and commitment to country ownership to help partners reimagine how lifesaving products reach the people who need them most.

She holds an MPH from Columbia University and a BS in Public Health from The George Washington University.
