Morgan Garcia is a gender and HIV prevention researcher and expert with more than 16 years of experience in community-based disease prevention and response in Africa, Latin America, and the Pacific. She currently serves as a lead clinical research manager for a large HIV prevention implementation science study in the American South.
Morgan brings expertise from previous roles as global gender and youth lead for a HIV prevention product rollout project across 10 countries in Africa and as senior clinical research manager for the MTN-034/REACH study of the dapivirine ring among adolescent girls and young women in Africa. She is adept at applying a gender-transformative lens in the co-creation of resources to meet community needs.
She received her Masters in Public Health, with a focus on international health, from Oregon State University, and is a certified yoga instructor committed to trauma-informed, liberatory practice from the studio to the clinic.
