Njambi Njuguna is a physician and public health specialist based in Kenya with over 15 years of experience driving the introduction and scale-up of biomedical HIV prevention products across Sub-Saharan Africa. She has led multi-country product rollouts—including the dapivirine vaginal ring and injectable cabotegravir—by aligning policy, program design, and implementation research to accelerate uptake.

Njambi is skilled at translating evidence into action through deep collaboration with Ministries of Health, global partners, and community stakeholders. She has co-developed national strategies, coordinated cross-sectoral working groups, and built capacity for sustained delivery of lifesaving innovations. Her work sits at the intersection of implementation science, policy advocacy, and health systems strengthening.

She holds an MBChB from University of Nairobi, an MPH from University of Washington, and an MScPH from the Jomo Kenyatta University of Agriculture and Technology.
