Root to Rise is supporting civil society leadership in Nigeria to ensure community priorities shape national decisions on LEN and future HIV prevention options.

Root to Rise is supporting civil society leadership in Nigeria to ensure community priorities shape national decisions on LEN and future HIV prevention options.
With support from AVAC, Root to Rise helped bring together 10 civil society organizations to establish Nigeria’s first National CSO Coalition on PrEP. Root to Rise supported the coalition to move from formation to full functionality by strengthening governance, clarifying roles, and building systems for community feedback to inform national decision-making. The coalition is now formally recognized by the Federal Ministry of Health and included in the National LEN Rollout Plan as Nigeria’s official civil society coordination platform, helping create a stronger foundation for equitable, community-informed rollout of LEN and other HIV prevention options.
