Adaobi Lisa Olisa is a global health advocate and youth leader with expertise in HIV prevention, gender-responsive policy, and research translation. As a Root to Rise board member, she brings a strong track record of advancing youth engagement and stakeholder collaboration across Africa.
Adaobi co-led the global youth engagement strategy for the USAID-funded MOSAIC project, supporting work in ten African countries and contributing to national efforts to expand access to biomedical HIV prevention tools—including long-acting injectable cabotegravir for PrEP in Nigeria. She has served in several global advocacy and leadership roles, including as an IAS Vaccine and Cure Advocacy Fellow, CROI Community Scholar, and AVAC Clinical Trial Design Academy member.
A passionate champion for youth-led innovation, Adaobi is helping to reimagine intergenerational collaboration in global health—elevating young people as co-creators of sustainable, equitable systems. She holds a Bachelor of Pharmacy (B.Pharm) from Delta State University and certifications in global health, gender, and policy development.
