Lawrenta Edigbe is a Nigeria-based operations, program management, and legal professional with more than 12 years of experience supporting public health and development initiatives. Her work focuses on strengthening health systems, coordinating complex programs, and expanding access to evidence-based HIV prevention services.
At Root to Rise, Lawrenta supports Nigeria’s government-led introduction of lenacapavir for PrEP, with a focus on program coordination and engagement with civil society partners to improve access for populations most in need of HIV prevention. She previously supported the USAID-funded MOSAIC project, contributing to the introduction of CAB-LA for PrEP in Nigeria and helping lead civil society engagement and safeguarding efforts.
Lawrenta has worked across donor-funded programs supported by USAID/PEPFAR, the Global Fund, and UNICEF, with experience spanning HIV, malaria, gender-based violence, and child protection. She holds an LL.B. from Ambrose Alli University, a Barrister-at-Law qualification from the Nigerian Law School, and a master’s degree in Conflict, Security, and Development.
