Rose Wilcher is a global health strategist with over 20 years of experience bridging research, policy, and practice to advance HIV prevention, reproductive health, and gender equity. At Root to Rise, she brings deep expertise in stakeholder engagement, strategic communications, and evidence-driven decision-making—helping partners transform complexity into clarity and knowledge into impact.
Rose has served on the leadership teams of multiple USAID-funded global health initiatives, partnering closely with country teams to co-create high-impact programs, shape policy decisions, and strengthen health systems. Most recently, she directed research translation and knowledge management for a pioneering effort to accelerate the rollout of new biomedical HIV prevention products across 10 African countries.
Rose also champions young changemakers and is committed to making space for their leadership, insight, and action in global health.
She holds both an MPH and a BS from the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill.
