Rubuna Nagai is a seasoned community educator and HIV prevention advocate, passionate about youth leadership, gender, and HIV prevention.

She is the reigning Miss Y+ 2021-2022, under the Uganda network of young people living with HIV/AIDS (UNYPA). She also served on the UNYPA Board, facilitating youth engagement and presenting strategies tailored to the needs of young people at different platforms including Youth positive Summit 2022.

Rubuna served as the Gender and Youth Officer for the MOSAIC Project in Uganda. Under this project, she supported meaningful youth engagement in project activities, holding the project accountable to its promises to young PrEP users.

Currently Rubuna works with Root to Rise as a youth advisor.
